Applications

Different settings - one integrated solution.

Wildfire risk looks different depending on what needs to be protected. The INCA WFS® concept brings together Predict, Prevent, Prepare and Protect in an integrated approach that can be adapted to local conditions and different layers of protection – from landscape and perimeter to buildings and critical assets.

Homes & Property

Protecting where people live.

When vegetation and wildfire risk extend all the way to homes and properties, buildings can be exposed to advancing flames, radiant heat and embers. The INCA WFS® concept can combine monitoring and risk assessment with vegetation management and prepared physical protection around the landscape, property perimeter and building. The objective is to have protection in place before the fire arrives.

Hillside settlement of houses surrounded by forest and mountains

Communities

Protecting more than one property at a time.

Wildfire can affect entire communities, putting people, buildings, infrastructure and available emergency resources under pressure at the same time. The INCA WFS® concept takes a wider view of the area – identifying where risk is developing, preparing selected areas and establishing multiple layers of protection around what needs to be protected.

Critical Infrastructure

Protecting assets that need to keep working.

Wildfires can threaten infrastructure that cannot simply be moved out of harm’s way. The INCA WFS® concept can be adapted around infrastructure and other critical assets, combining early risk awareness and preparation with INCA WFS net® as a physical barrier against radiant heat, embers and advancing flames.

Agriculture

Protecting land, assets and a season’s work.

Agricultural environments can combine large areas of land, vegetation, buildings, equipment and other valuable assets. The INCA WFS® concept can help identify changing wildfire conditions, manage combustible vegetation and establish prepared protection zones around selected areas and assets. Where physical protection is needed, INCA WFS net® can form part of the final line of defence.

Industry

Protecting operations as well as assets.

For industrial sites, the consequences of fire can extend beyond physical damage to buildings and equipment. The INCA WFS® concept can combine monitoring, risk assessment and prepared protection around the site, perimeter, buildings and critical assets. INCA WFS net® can then provide physical fire and heat protection where it is needed most.

Nature

Protecting the landscape itself.

Wildfire is part of nature, but increasingly intense fires can affect large areas, forests and natural environments. The INCA WFS® concept can support risk assessment, vegetation management and prepared protection zones, while INCA WFS net® can be deployed vertically or horizontally to protect vulnerable areas from embers, radiant heat and advancing flames.
