About INCA
Who we are
Intelligent Fire Safety
INCA is a fire safety technology company, and we believe wildfire protection is about more than fighting the fire once it has started. For more than 26 years, INCA has worked to find smart and simple solutions to complex problems, with a particular focus on fire safety.
Today, our work spans fire protection, sensors, AI, signal processing and sensor integration. From heat-activated physical protection to ground sensors, AI-based flame detection, rovers, drones and digital wildfire management, we combine different technologies to address fire safety from a broader perspective. Intelligent fire safety.
“Where challenges, creativity and intelligent innovation meet”
Our focus extends across the entire fire challenge – before and during a fire – bringing together technology, information and physical protection as part of a complete approach to fire safety.
What we do
Rethinking Wildfire Protection
We rethink wildfire protection by looking at the problem as a whole – from understanding risk long before a fire starts to physically protecting what matters when fire approaches.
Predict
Prevent
Prepare
Protect
Our approach has developed into the INCA WFS® concept, built around four connected principles: Predict, Prevent, Prepare and Protect. Predict and Prevent help understand where and when risks are developing and reduce their probability and consequences. Prepare and Protect address the situation when risk can no longer be eliminated, with INCA WFS net® providing a physical fire- and heat-protection solution. Used together, the INCA WFS® concept becomes a complete solution for wildfire control.
“We do not necessarily have to defeat the wildfire where it is strongest. We can change the conditions around what we need to protect”
What value we create
Reducing Wildfire Damage
“Making Better Use of What We Have”
We believe better wildfire control is not simply about adding more firefighting resources, but about using the resources already available in a fundamentally different and more effective way.
By establishing protection before the fire arrives, the INCA WFS® concept can help create protected positions, prepare selected areas and enable people and resources to work from behind that protection. Rather than confronting the wildfire only where it is strongest, we aim to change the conditions around what needs to be protected – people, property, infrastructure and nature.

Technology and Innovation
INCA combines sensors, AI, signal processing and sensor integration as part of its approach to wildfire management. The INCA WFS® concept includes ground sensors that monitor air temperature and humidity, AI cameras for flame detection, autonomous patrol systems and a Wildfire Management System integrating real-time sensor data with topographic, meteorological, aerial and satellite data.
INCA WFS net® is a coated net or mesh made from metal or fibre material. When exposed to heat, the coating expands approximately 50 times in an endothermic process without combustion, creating a physical fire- and heat-protection solution.
INCA WFS net® has been externally fire tested and certified for EI 45 / E 60. Toxic gases formed during expansion have also been tested by a third-party research institute according to ASTM E662 and BSS7239.

Winner of Firehouse Innovation Awards 2025
Recognized with a 2025 Firehouse Innovations Award, INCA WFS net® was described by Firehouse as an innovative, easy-to-use and highly adaptable solution for protecting structures and critical assets from wildland fire threats.
Full motivation:
“INCA WFS net® is an innovative fire protection solution that’s designed to safeguard structures and critical assets from wildland fire threats. The easy-to-use, heat-activated mesh expands and can be wrapped around structures or used to create temporary enclosures that are in the path of a fire. It’s self-extinguishing and remains effective even under prolonged exposure. Overall, it’s a highly adaptable and reliable option for enhancing wildfire resilience.”Learn more about Firehouse and the award →

Worldwide network
INCA is a small organization by design. Instead of building a large conventional structure, we have created a global network of hundreds of specialists and experts across a wide range of disciplines.
This gives us the flexibility to bring together the right expertise for each challenge – and to work across multiple scientific fields simultaneously.
